Let our clients do the talking

Need we say more?

Companies can keep on blabbering on how great their products are. At XANT we are not any different.
But not this month!

XANT M at Ackron Farm, Melvich (Scotland)

Heather Stuart. Ackron Farm Partner: “We were nervous about entering the medium wind sector owing to tough operating climate here in the North of Scotland combined with our remoteness for back up if problems were to occur.

We have found XANT to be a good business partner. The XANTPORTAL is excellent providing remote communication all day every day which should prolong the life span of the components and allow timely servicing, all handled professionally by the XANT team.

Another short-term issue we have is the area grid capacity being unable to allow more than 50kW export, which the XANT has fulfilled seamlessly. We were concerned with brake wear and the possibility of shorter component life but owing to its unique design this has never materialized.

We look forward to many more years of serviceable life from this unit and are currently looking for ways to integrate the power generated into more dynamic ways into our business model lowering our carbon footprint and increasing our efficiency in tandem. “

XANT M at Talla na Mara, Isle of Harris (Hebrides, Scotland)

We were one of the very first customers for the XANT M turbine, which made it a particularly difficult decision to take, given that our location was remote

and the wind conditions extreme. So, reliability and durability were going to be key, as well as plenty of support from the OEM, but after much deliberation, we selected the XANT M-21. We then faced many more challenges than expected during the installation phase, but the team at XANT dealt them all with great determination and professionalism.

Since commissioning the turbine, we have been pleased with the consistency and the level of output delivered, as well as with the unwavering support we have had from the team at XANT.

About XANT:

XANT is a manufacturer of midsize (50…500kW) turbines for the microgrid and off-grid markets. XANT turbines are designed with microgrid applications in mind and a with a special focus on remote areas and harsh operating conditions. They have Just Enough Essential Parts (JEEP!), fit in 40ft containers and can be erected without a crane. For deployment in typhoon-prone areas the turbines can be lowered to the ground, also facilitating the maintenance. XANT turbines have the capability of active power curtailment and can be equipped with integrated energy storage to allow for a high penetration rates.

The extreme simplicity, easy maintenance, silent operation and low cost of ownership make XANT turbines ideally suited for wind power on remote locations and close to the consumer.

The XANT product portfolio consist of the XANT M (100kW) and the XANT L (330kW) – commercially available in 2019-  platforms. Both turbine types exist in class Ia (average wind speeds up to 10m/s) and class IIIa (7.5m/s) executions; for extremely cold areas ETR (Extended Temperature Range) versions are available.
